Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of ServiceCallAid. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.
The service
ServiceCallAid is a workforce app for service technicians across every trade (appliance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and others): clients, equipment, scheduling, estimates, invoices, AI assistance, payments via Stripe.
Your account
- You must be at least 18.
- You’re responsible for keeping your password (or Apple/Google credentials) safe.
- You’re responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- One human per account. Don’t share logins across techs — book extra seats if you have a team.
Your content
Everything you type, photograph, or upload into ServiceCallAid stays yours. We hold it on your behalf so the app can run. You grant us the limited rights we need to store it, display it back to you, and deliver the emails / PDFs / share pages you explicitly send.
Payments + Stripe
If you connect Stripe, charges from your clients land directly in your Stripe account. ServiceCallAid is not a party to those transactions. Stripe’s own terms apply to that money. Refunds, chargebacks, and tax compliance are your responsibility.
Estimates + invoices to your clients
Documents you generate are agreements between you and your client. ServiceCallAid is not a party to them. Make sure the numbers are right before you send.
SMS messaging
If you use ServiceCallAid’s SMS features to text your clients (appointment confirmations, on-the-way alerts, invoices, payment receipts, reply messages), you agree that:
- You will only send SMS to clients who have provided their phone number to you in connection with an active service request. Don’t import lists, don’t text people who haven’t engaged with your business, don’t send marketing messages dressed up as transactional.
- You comply with all applicable telecom and anti-spam laws including the US TCPA, the Canadian CASL, and CTIA Messaging Principles. ServiceCallAid provides the technical means to send messages but is not responsible for your message content or recipient consent.
- Your clients can opt out at any time by replying STOP; this is enforced automatically by our carrier and you cannot override it. Reply HELP for help. Standard message and data rates may apply for recipients.
- Message frequency is determined by your service interactions; typical volume is 1-5 messages per service appointment per client.
- If a carrier or regulator flags your messaging as abusive, spammy, or non-compliant, we may suspend your SMS access immediately to protect the messaging reputation of the ServiceCallAid platform for other users.
AI features
Ask Aid, the call-intake parser, the data-plate reader, and other AI features are provided “as is” and can be wrong. Treat them as a smart colleague offering suggestions, not as a substitute for your training and judgment. You’re responsible for verifying anything safety- or money-critical before acting on it.
What you can’t do
- Don’t reverse engineer, scrape, or proxy the API.
- Don’t use the app to harass, defraud, or break the law.
- Don’t upload other people’s content without their permission.
- Don’t try to game AI features into giving you a competitor’s data.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms. We’ll let you download your data first when possible.
Pricing + cancellation
Free during beta. When paid tiers launch we’ll notify active accounts 30 days before any charge. You can cancel any time; cancelling stops new charges but doesn’t refund the current period.
Disclaimer + liability cap
The service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ServiceCallAid’s total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim — or $100 CAD, whichever is greater. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pinellas County, Florida.
